Dukan Turkish Style Chicken with Yogurt

Ingredients:

  • 8 chicken thighs
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup low fat yogurt
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger (optional)
  • 2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dried mint
  • salt
Instructions:
  1. Place chicken in a large bowl. Add lemon juice and stir to cover the entire surface.
  2. Whisk the yogurt, garlic, ginger, paprika, mint and salt in a separate bowl.
  3. Pour the yogurt mixture over the chicken and stir to coat the entire surface.
  4. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or up to 24 hours.
  5. Preheat oven to maximum temperature.
  6. Remove chicken from marinade (discard marinade).
  7. Place chicken in a teflon pan on the top rack of the oven (but not too close to the grill) and only use the grill until golden brown on top, about 15 minutes.
  8. Reduce oven temperature to 200 ° C/400 ° F and let stand until chicken is juicy, about 15 minutes. (Thighs will appear dark pink, even when they are well-cooked.)
  9. Serve immediately.
